Process
Start to Finish
The selection of exceptional judges is critical to the Dream Home
Awards. The Judging Committee selects our highly qualified judges. All
of the judges are builders, developers, architects, interior designers
and/or marketing professionals. Judges are selected to produce the most
well-rounded and geographically diverse judging group possible.
All
entries are assigned an identification number and reviewed for
accuracy. The exhibit materials are put in order for an electronic
presentation for the judges by category. There is a specific point
system the judges will utilize based upon the judging criteria set up
for each award category. Five finalists will be selected based upon
this points systems. Then the judges will re-cap all the entries to
select the Category's Award Winner. Dream Home Awards has created a
paper free system for award judging. All materials used for
presentation will be protected for the security of the entrants
physical and intellectual property.
Each of the finalists in each category will receive a silver award plaque for their
product entry and the category winners will win a trophy for their
product.

Procedures
Each judge will judge all of the entries in each category independently from other judges.
Judges will conduct themselves in a professional, unbiased manner. Respect will be given to all entries in all categories.
Judges will
judge the materials with an electronic voting system containing all
judging criteria for each category along with a digital presentation of
the entries submitted.
Judges
will not discuss builders, architects, designers or other entrants,
their products, marketing approach, pricing, style or any other
characteristics during the judging procedure. Influencing the other
judges' independent opinions will not be permitted.
Any question
regarding an entry, the judging criteria, exhibit material or problem
should be directed to the Judging Committee Chair present at the judging.
All ballots will be electronically processed.
No telephone
calls will be made or received by the judges during the judging
process. Calls may be made during breaks but may not involve contact
with or discussion of any Dream Home Awards' entries.
No materials, cameras, etc. will be taken into the judging room.
After voting on the product ballots will be electronically signed and entered into the computer.
